We’re hiring four new roles at The 19th
The 19th has launched a hiring sprint to fill four new roles across audience, creative, people and operations functions.
These roles grew out of our work to align our structures with the strategic plan we launched last year.
All four positions are full-time, remote roles that are open to candidates based in the United States. Read more about these roles below and visit their individual job pages for more information.
Audience analytics manager
The audience analytics manager will design and implement a data strategy that helps us better understand the needs and habits of the women and LGBTQ+ people we aim to serve. We’re looking for someone with newsroom audience analytics experience who can identify meaningful patterns, translate data into clear and actionable insights and help teams across The 19th make more informed decisions about our journalism, products and programs. The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000.

Designer, visual storytelling
The designer, visual storytelling will join The 19th’s creative team to produce original visual journalism across editorial illustration, daily news graphics, social design and visual identities for major projects. We’re looking for a multidisciplinary visual journalist who can move between rapid-turnaround assignments and ambitious long-term work, develop thoughtful visual approaches to complex subjects and collaborate closely across the newsroom. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000.

Operations director
The operations director will develop and implement effective, safe and equitable ways of working across The 19th, including systems and standards related to project management, technology, security, contracts, internal communications, documentation and responsible AI use. We’re looking for an experienced operations leader who can balance long-term strategy with hands-on implementation and guide teams through organizational and systems change. The salary range for this role is $145,000 to $170,000.

People operations generalist
The people operations generalist will strengthen employee support and the administrative and operational work of our people operations team. We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist who can support hiring, onboarding, payroll and benefits, employee records, HR systems, compliance and performance programs while bringing strong judgment, attention to detail and a people-centered approach. The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000.
